ROBERT GROSSMAN   (1940-2018)
Liked to "illustrate the unillustratable." In a Hall of Fame career spanning over 50 years, Robert Grossman's distinctive, satirical illustrations, cartoons and sculptures appeared over 500 times on the covers of various national publications, including TIME, Rolling Stone, NewsweekEsquire, Sports Illustrated, The Nation, New York magazine, National Lampoon, and The New York Times. He's also known for having created the iconic poster for the movie "Airplane!", and he was nominated for an Academy Award for his short animated short film "Jimmy the C" in 1977.
